Princess Charlotte was pictured enjoying herself with some butterflies as part of the ‘Butterfly Count’— a conservation programme aimed at protecting them.
Princess Charlotte Is Helping To Protect Butterflies As Part Of A Conservation Initiative
This is the latest Royal engagement that Charlotte has attended. It continues the same tradition that her brother (Prince George) has been engaging in by getting involved in Royal duties from a young age. In a post on Instagram, we can see Charlotte holding a black butterfly ever so carefully in her hands.
She is wearing a blue t-shirt and pink shorts. Her eyes are firmly gazed at the butterfly in wonder. The post was captioned by the following comments: “@savebutterflies are encouraging us all to count these incredible creatures because not only are they beautiful creatures to be around, but they are also extremely important.”
Nature and sustainability has been a big part of the Royal family. With a greater emphasis on going green, Charlotte was part of a programme designed to encourage kids to be environmentally conscious. While she was busy having a wonderful time, she did not forget the importance that such animals have in our daily lives.
The post added: “Butterflies are vital parts of the ecosystem as both pollinators and components of the food chain. Hopefully, you can beat last year’s total, @savebutterflies.” Being outdoors is something that Charlotte has always been a fan of.
And with the pandemic disrupting the lives of many children around the world, she is cherishing every opportunity that she is getting. This has been extended to what Charlotte does at home. Her grandmother, Carole Middleton, previously opened up on how she loves to be hands-on with her grandkids by allowing them to explore nature.
In a prior interview with Saga magazine, she stated what she likes to do with them during her downtime. She stated: “If I’m doing planting with my grandchildren, I like to have it all laid out at ‘activity stations’ with their own little trowel and pot… It’s important for children to grow up appreciating nature.”
Charlotte’s support for this initiative should be praised, and we wish her the best with the project. If you liked reading this article, then check out our other features on the Daily Soap Dish.
